Hi! We’re Cecilia and Jesse, the Jahams. We’re a (somewhat) recently married couple who decided to go on one final, big adventure before we move into the next phase of our married lives.
While lucky enough to enjoy a fair amount of travel early on in our relationship (8 countries in our first two years together, including a picturesque engagement after a hike in Cinque Terre, Italy), it didn’t quite feel like enough. Both of us had toyed with the idea in the past of quitting our day jobs and traveling long term. After getting married on the sandy beaches of Mexico in 2017, and with the prospect of major life changes on the horizon, we made the decision to leave jobs we’d been with for over a decade, pack up our home, and live life on the road for one more big adventure.
This website is meant to be a way for us to remember our adventure, and to share it with loved ones and anyone else who so happens to stumble upon it. It’s a little bit of a travel blog and a photo journal all wrapped into one. Since we were a bit delayed getting it rolling (we’ve been on the road since April 2018), the entries won’t necessarily be in chronological order, but we hope to eventually have posts about all the significant experiences we’ve had on this incredible journey.
